It's so easy to get depressed over mistakes we make, and stay discouraged. It's easy to let yourself get dragged down by guilt and bad feelings. Either we feel it's expected of us to wallow in our mental mud, or maybe we like the compassion that we might get for being down.
Well, Great Grandmaster
Tae Yun Kim will have none of that. She has a way of motivating me and making me feel great. I absolutely love this excerpt from her book "The Silent Master." It's from page 48.
Great Grandmaster
Tae Yun Kim says:
"You need to realize that you don't need to feel guilty forever. Guilt has its purpose for a little while. It makes you realize you need to change. But once you take action to create change, guilt is no longer purposeful. In fact, at that point it's obstructive. So if you are ready to make a change, right now, first let go of the guilt. Realize that your guilt is a feeling about something that's over. whatever the "fault" or whatever the mistake, it isn't a part of the true you now. It's over. It's gone. Begin the process of healing with feelings of joy instead."
So let's have a life full of joy!

Great advice from Dr. Tae Yun Kim. Learn from our mistakes. Don't forget our lessons. But learn and move on. Don't kick yourself forever. Time is too short.
Wonderful post! As a person that tends to wallow in guilt, I can really appreciate this. Guilt has a purpose, but it isn't meant to take over my life!
